Christopher Crider
Christopher Allen Crider, 45, Spencerville, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 23, 2014, in Redkey, Ind.
He was born July 14, 1969, in Lima, the oldest son of Robert Crider and Jan Fox Trogdlon. Robert Crider and his wife, Deb Crider, survive in Delphos, and Jan Fox Trogdlon and her husband, Glen Trogdlon, survive in Spencerville.
Also surviving are three children, Kyle Crider, Spencerville, Alisha (Shane) Derrick, Bossier City, La., and Amber Crider, Celina; a stepgranddaughter, Kailee Derrick; three siblings, Michael (Doug McMillen) Crider, Belle Center, Sean (Deb) Crider, Rockford, and Julie (Brian Tinnel) Heath, Van Wert; his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Fox, Celina; a nephew, Zachary Crider; a niece, Lyndsey Heath; four stepsisters, Jessi (Bo) Dingledine, St. Marys, Jenni (Bryan) Cummins, Lima, Amber Whorl, Delphos, and Lacy Sheets, Delphos; and Angie Crider, the mother of his daughter, Amber, Celina.
Deceased are his paternal grandparents, William and Jessie Crider; maternal grandfather, Lewis Fox; and a niece, Zoe Crider.
He attended Mendon Schools and had worked at Crown Equipment, New Bremen.
More than anything, he loved his kids and being with them. He loved doing body work on cars, tinkering with his '56 Chevy, fishing, mushroom hunting, watching the Braves games and anything KISS- related. His ornery smile will be in our hearts forever.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick and Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon, the Rev. Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow at Mendon Cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
