CELINA - U.S. farmers are on track to reap record corn and soybean harvests, an area ag official announced at Thursday's monthly Mercer County agriculture breakfast.
Speaker John Leighty, a grain merchandiser for Trupointe cooperative in Botkins, was among a group of people who recently attended the annual National Pro Farmer Crop Tour to survey the nation's crops. [More]

CELINA - The Celina girls tennis team rebounded from a tough loss to undefeated Western Buckeye League leader Wapakoneta on Tuesday to shut out cross-lake rival St. Marys 5-0 Thursday afternoon at the Booster Club Tennis Complex.
The win moves the NetDogs to 3-2 in WBL. The Roughriders drop to 1-4 in league matches. [More]
