Lois Butcher
Lois M. Butcher, 75, passed away Dec. 4, 2014, in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born in Lima to Richard and Bernice Speckman. She was married to Jack Butcher, who survives in Fort Wayne.
Also surviving are two sons, Randy Butcher and Steven Butcher, both of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Dustin (Jessica) Butcher, Abigail Saylor and Emily Butcher; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol (Jon) Santa of Florence, Ariz.
She was a teacher with Southwest Allen County School Corporation for 33 years and later worked with St. John Evangelical Lutheran School. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne, and a consultant for Workshop Way and enjoyed clogging at the Johnny Appleseed Festival.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church, Fort Wayne. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.
Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, the National Alzheimer's Association or Heartland Hospice.
