Beth Shinn
Beth Anne Shinn, 49, Mendon, went home to be with the Lord the morning of Dec. 4, 2014, at the Coronary Care Unit at St. Rita's Hospital, Lima.
She was born July 1, 1965, in Springfield, to Lowell and R. Anne Linkinhoker Byerly, who are deceased. On Jan. 4, 2001, at Grace Baptist Church, Fairborn, she married Michael W. Shinn, who survives in Mendon.
Surviving are two sons, Keeton Byerly, Yellow Springs, and Deetric Byerly, Cincinnati; a sister, Cheri Byerly, Springfield; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Shinn, Van Wert; a stepson, Christopher Shinn, Ohio City; and stepgrandchildren, Braden Etgen and Abbagail Shinn.
Deceased is a stepdaughter, Mindy Shinn.
She was a devoted and caring wife to her loving husband. They were blessed the day they met and the day they were married. They were only a part of a whole before this, but once married they complemented each other. They formed a loving, caring couple who loved each other as much as God loved them. Always and forever!
She attended Bowling Green State University and later Columbus State University to complete her studies in business. She was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She especially loved to study the Word of God.
One of her passions was gardening and she would spend many hours tending to each plant in her garden. She, like her father, was a "grill-master" and prepared many delicious meals from her patio. She loved animals, especially her two cats, Inky and Robin.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home, Springfield. Burial is at Ferncliff Cemetery.
Calling is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Condolences may be left at www.littletonandrue.com.
