Police academy leaders critical of proposed changes
Commanders: Mandates will hamper officer recruitment

ST. MARYS - Commanders of two local open-enrollment police academies say proposed changes could make it difficult for potential officers to afford the training and for smaller departments to hire qualified employees.
The changes could make it particularly difficult to find special deputies or reserve officers who work for free, they said. [More]

Fort Recovery's budget for '16 has little change

Seniors big part of Indians' turnaround
Fort Recovery improved from nine wins to 25 wins over last four seasons
When the current group of Fort Recovery seniors were in junior high, they saw the Indians' high school baseball team was struggling.
For two straight seasons, the Indians won just two games each year and had just enough players to field a varsity team with no junior varsity.
Bulldogs go to 3-0 in ACME
