Western Logan County in west central Ohio... Northeastern Shelby County in west central Ohio... * WHEN...Until 600 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 306 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Officials not sure if additional runoff will affect algae blooms

CELINA - This summer's heavy rains have not greatly affected dredging on Grand Lake, but officials still don't know how the weather will affect the lake's algae problem.
Local weather forecaster Dennis Howick said as of this morning, the area had received a record 12.48 inches of rain this month. The area normally receives 3.86 inches of rain in June. The prior record of 8.48 inches of rain was set in 1958. [More]
