Ona Cheadle
Ona Cheadle, age 89, of Ansonia, died on Friday, September 18, 2015 at her home.
She was born September 9, 1926 in Moorehead, KY to the late John & Georgeann (Skaggs) Brown. On November 1, 1946, she married Robert N. Cheadle and he died November 10, 1994.
She is survived by children, Dennis & Karen Cheadle, Mary & Bud Coppock all of Greenville, Sharon Hutchens, Robert Jr & Julie Cheadle, Joseph Cheadle, John Cheadle and James Cheadle all of Ansonia, and Michelle & Michael Duffield of Troy, a son in law Stanley Richards of Ansonia, 24 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She is also preceded in death by sons Danny & Patrick, a daughter Patricia Richards, a son in law James Hutchens, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sisters, Lucy, Nellie, and Stellie, and brothers Amos, Brine, Sherman, Rev. Leslie Brown, and Bill, she was the last surviving member of her family.
She was a member of Greenville Baptist Church, was a resident of Ansonia for 45 years and was a blessing to all who knew her.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater with Rev. Daniel Berdine, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Philothea.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday after 10:00 AM.
