Grace "Sparkie" Nuding, age 91, of Celina, passed away Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 at Celina Manor Nursing Home.

Born May 7, 1924 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Grace was one of ten children of William Bradley & Lula Chavis Hammond. Grace married Charles Stanley "Chuck" Nuding on April 5, 1947, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1998.

She is survived by their 3 Sons: Stanley (Vicky) Nuding and Grover (Pat) Nuding, of Celina and Dee (Kelly) Nuding, of Mendon, 9 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren, 3 Step-Great Grandchildren and a Sister, Dorothy Hunt, of Fairmont, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by a Grandson, Cory Nuding, a Great Granddaughter, McKenna Tebbe, 8 Brothers & Sisters: McKinley (Mae) Hammond, Paul (Nadine) Hammond, Giles (Grace) Hammond, Guilford (Mary Ellen) Hammond, Leola (Holden) Jacobs, Lorraine (Lester) Bullard, Marcell (Ertle) Lowry and Ruth Hammond, a Brother-in-law, J.W. Hunt, and her Husband's Brothers & Sisters: John (Lucille) Nuding, Donald (Carol) Nuding, Helen (Orval) Harner, Mamie (Lee) Searight and Bernadine (Bill) Krugh.

Grace was a Homemaker and a member of Mt. Tabor Church of God, Celina. In 2005, she was honored by the Church as "Mother of the Year". Watching her Grandkids, gardening, and growing houseplants, were favorite pastimes of Grace's.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Mt. Tabor Church of God, Celina, with Rev. Richard Van Horn, officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.

Calling Hours are 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22 at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, and 1 hour prior to time of Services on Wednesday at the Church.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Mt. Tabor Church of God or State of the Heart Hospice.
