Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Marvin Brandehoff
Marvin E. Brandehoff, 78, of Wapakoneta died at 4:08 p.m. Monday October 5, 2015 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born on February 2, 1937 in Monterey Township, Putnam County to LaVern J. & Gladys E. (Wreede) Brandehoff who have preceded him in death. On April 8, 1967 he married Karen M. Uppenkamp, who survives in Wapakoneta.
Survivors also include three children, Lori Brandehoff of Wapakoneta, Jerry Brandehoff of New York City, and Kurt (Emily) Brandehoff of Wapakoneta; a grandson, Bolden Brandehoff; four brothers, Paul (Mary) Brandehoff of Defiance, Howard (Marilyn) Brandehoff of St. Johns, Bob (Annalee) Brandehoff of Wapakoneta, and Donnie (Patty) Brandehoff of St. Johns; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Jean Brandehoff and a brother, Richard Brandehoff.
Marvin retired from truck driving after 20 years of service at Orick Tool & Die, Elida. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta.
In his free time, Marvin enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Bengals, The Ohio State University Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Reds and the Wapakoneta Redskins. His hobbies also included woodworking and vintage cars, especially his 1957 Pontiac Super Chief.
Marvin loved going out to eat with his family and spending time with his grandson, Bolden. For nearly 20 years, his passion was working for Metzger Farms, Wapakoneta, where he could be found lending a helping hand to James, Sue, and the late Joe Metzger.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday October 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta. Rev. Daniel Hunt will be officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor's choice.
