Mayor Jeff Hazel this morning said the outage likely was the result a bird striking a 69-kilovolt power line within 3.9 miles of the Sugar Street substation.
Electricity went out about 11:30 a.m. in an area reportedly stretching from at least Staeger Road to the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, west of Celina. [More]
