CELINA - Six missing people from adjoining states meet the physical description of a potential homicide victim whose remains were found Jan. 3 on state-owned land, east of U.S. 127, in a wooded area along Grand Lake.
However, until investigators link DNA from the bones to that of DNA on file, the case likely will remain unsolved, Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey revealed Wednesday afternoon to the newspaper. [More]

Local officials have requested $8.53 million in state capital funds for 14 projects in Mercer and Auglaize counties.

CELINA - Two adults involved in the February drug deal-turned-shooting in Fort Recovery each were sentenced to three years in prison.
Kody Chilcoat and Julien Kocak, both 19-year-old Celina men, were sentenced Wednesday by Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge Jeffrey Ingraham.
