* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Auglaize, Darke, Mercer and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 356 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Fort Loramie, New Bremen, Minster, Newport, New Knoxville, Russia, Osgood, Willowdell, Chickasaw, Kettlersville, Yorkshire, Lake Loramie State Park, Egypt, Maria Stein, Mccartyville and Houston.

Garold "Gary" Cook
Garold "Gary" D. Cook, age 75, Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes Wednesday afternoon, May 18, 2016, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy, Ohio.
He was born July 11, 1940, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late George Cook and Patsy (Schmidt) Cook, of New Bremen. On February 19, 1966, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, Garold married Judith Cook who survives.
Also surviving are three children, David Cook of Fort Loramie, Annette & Paul Heckman of Maria Stein, and Daniel & Jane Cook of Sidney; three grandchildren and four step grandchildren; two sisters, Linda & Don Meier of Yorkshire, Cheryl & Marvin Wente of New Bremen and sister & brother-in-law, Mary Emily & Robert Wagner of Lima.
He was preceded in death by his father & mother-in-law, Peter & Theresa Lachey and brother & sister in-law, Carl J. & Kathy Lachey.
A 1959 graduate of Versailles High School, Mr. Cook then served in the US Army during the Viet Nam Era and had been stationed at Fort Knox, KY.
In 2002 he retired from Le Roi Dresser in Sidney where he had been employed 42 years. In his leisure, Gary enjoyed fishing, golf, traveling, playing cards, and yard work.
He was known to enjoy life to the fullest with a wonderful sense of humor and great capacity to care about others. Gary loved his family and had been especially affectionate to his loyal dog, Zoey.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM, Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery with military honors provided by the Fort Knox Honor Guard.
Friends may call Monday 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Tuesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Hospice of Miami County.
