Ohmer Brandewie
Ohmer John "O.J." Brandewie age 92 of Osgood, Ohio passed away at 12:05 AM Wednesday, August 16, 2016 at State of the Heart Inpatient Unit, Greenville, Ohio.
He was born on April 29, 1924 in Yorkshire, Ohio to the late William & Eleanora (Bohman) Brandewie. On August 30, 1952 in Osgood he married Clara Mary Schlarman and she survives.
He is survived by brother Delmar "Jack" Brandewie, Montezuma, Ohio, in-laws Imelda Stucke, Coldwater, Lois Wenning, Minster and Betty Schlarman, North Star.
He was preceded in death by sister Wilma & Norb Meyer, and in-laws, Rosemary Brandewie, Rosella & Wilfred Tanner, Herb & June Schlarman, Velma & Ralph Magoteaux, Eileen Schlarman, Lucille & Bill Ketring, Hugo & Liz Schlarman, Clete Wenning & Roman Stucke.
He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood and the Men's Sodality of the Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor during WWII and a member of the American Legion Post 588 in Osgood.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, Ohio with Rev. David Zink celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster on Friday, August 19 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and on Saturday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
