Emerita Boerger
Emerita C. (Bruns) Boerger, age 93, formerly of Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes early Sunday morning, August 21, 2016, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster, Ohio. She had been a resident there for three years.
She was born May 14, 1923, in Osgood, Ohio, to the late Frederick and Agnes (Heitkamp) Bruns. On November 5, 1946, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Osgood, Emerita married Edward H. Boerger who preceded her in death on July 3, 1985.
Surviving are five children: Kenneth & Monica Boerger and Thomas & Jeanne Boerger of Fort Loramie, Linda K. & Jim Roesser of Dayton, Shirley & Tim Berning of Anna and Joann & Mike Martin of Fort Loramie; 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Irene & Art Lochtefeld of Yorkshire, Marie & Tom Moorman of St. Henry, Joann Luebke of Fort Loramie and sisters-in-law, Mary Bruns of St. Henry and Esther Henschen of Sidney, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by two infant children, Mary and Michael Boerger; four siblings: Sylvina & Linus Poeppelman, Alma & Ralph Grilliot, Wilbert & Carolyn Bruns, Lawrence Bruns and brothers & sisters-in-law: Greg Luebke, Helen & Ted Sanders, Emma & Henry Sanders, Frances & Karl Riethman, George & Dorothy Boerger, Curt Henschen and John Boerger.
Mrs. Boerger had been a dedicated home maker and farm wife. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and St. Ann's Ladies Sodality. Emerita was an avid and spirited card player.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Steven Shoup presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday 3:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.

Dorothea "Jean" England, age 78, of Mendon, passed away at 6:27 A.M., Sunday, August 21, 2016 at her residence. [More]
