* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley, Switzerland, Union and Wayne, Kentucky, including the following counties, Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Carroll, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Lewis, Mason, Owen, Pendleton and Robertson, and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.

Tyrone Thomas
Tyrone D. Thomas, 77 of Marysville died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Memorial Gables following a brief illness.
He was born August 23, 1938 in Irvine, Kentucky to the late Horace M. and Mildred (Blount) Thomas. On August 5, 1974 he married Mary S. (Vondenhuevel) in Las Vegas and she survives in Marysville.
Ty spent his career in education, first teaching and serving as principal at Newton Local Schools from 1966 to 1976. He then became superintendent for Mendon Union Schools in Mercer County from 1976 to 1985, and later for North Union Schools from 1985 to 1990, where he retired.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was also an Eagle Scout. He was a member of Baccarat American Legion Post 40 and the Union County Retired Teachers Association (U.C.R.T.A.). Ty enjoyed fishing and traveling to Canada and Alaska. He and his wife, Mary traveled to all fifty states.
He was a fan of Ohio State Women's Basketball, being a member of the Rebounders Club. Ty took great pride in taking care of his home property.
A memorial service led by Ty's niece Jennifer VonRue will be held Saturday September 24, 2016 at 5:00 pm at the family home at 21881 Springdale Rd. Marysville, Ohio 43040, where military honors will be conducted by the Richwood Area Veterans.
Friends may call at the home prior to the service from 1-5 pm.
