Carolyn Hart
Carolyn Ann (Hopper) Hart, 75 of Bradford, Ohio passed away on Tuesday October 4, 2016 at 11:45 PM at her residence.
She was born January 24, 1941 in Dawn, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles S. & Nellie Rae (Davis) Hopper.
She did display/Ad work; worked in Human Services; Job Training Specialist; was the secretary for the construction company; and managed apartments in Greenville.
She was a C.C.D. Teacher; Girl Scout Leader; past board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shelby and Darke County; She traveled all over Europe, Japan, Spain, & Greece on bicycle tours.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Robert Hopper; sisters: Onda Fae Matthews, Ellen Peters, and Patricia Pottkotter.
She is survived by her husband: Dr. James E. Hart of Bradford whom she married September 19, 1959; children & spouses: Cathy (Brian) Hart-Walls of Indianapolis, Indiana, Diane (Randolph) Sawyer of Oakwood, Ohio, Thomas (Tammy) Hart of Lewisburg, Ohio, Sean (Debbie) Hart of West Chester, Ohio; grandchildren: Wesly Hart, Lane Hart, Peyton Sawyer, Parker Sawyer; sister: Myrna Detling of Liberty Twp., Ohio; brother in law: Ralph Pottkotter of Montezuma, Ohio.
Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday October 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church, 14 East Wood Street, Versailles, Ohio with Rev. Fr. Ron Haft Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Valbert Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM on Monday October 10, 2016 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, Ohio.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
