James Brown
James S. Brown age 79 of Minster, Ohio died on November 14, 2016 at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 24, 1937, in Minster, Ohio to the late Philbert & Ruth (Stoll) Brown. He married Mary Nagel on July 27, 1957 at St. Augustine Church, Minster. She survives in Minster.
He is also survived by children: Mark & Catherine Brown, Boulder, CO, Cindy & Eric Schall, St. Marys, Theresa & Jim Schwieterman, Maria Stein, Paul Brown, Minster, 12 grandchildren: Megan & Natalie Brown, Adam Schall, Lauren & James Horn, Luke Schwieterman, Kayla & Trevor Gundlach, Margaret & Claire Schwieterman, Brandon Schwilk, Ryan, Abby & Austin Brown, brothers Charles Brown, Dayton, George & Mary Brown, Minster.
He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, the Men's Choir for 50 years, a High School Religion Teacher, a member of Crescent Players and a former Jaycee member.
Jim enjoyed being a handyman and a woodworker and helping out with the Minster Historical Society. Jim was also an organ and tissue donor. He had worked at Wayne Trail Technologies.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 21, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, Ohio with Rev. Rick Nieberding and Rev. Ned Brown con-celebrants. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 20, and from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM on Monday, November 21.
