Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off into tonight.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset and beyond as temperatures drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

Anna Badgett
Anna Catherine Badgett, age 86, of Celina, Ohio, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Community Hospital in Coldwater.
She was born August 11, 1930 in Marion County, Kentucky, to the late David & Blanche (Hughes) Russell. On July 9, 1949 she married Louis Badgett Sr. and he died in 1991.
She is survived by children: Russ & Bev Badgett of Celina, Terry Badgett of Sevierville, Tennessee, Bonnie Jones of Waco, Texas, Steve & Mary Ann Badgett of Ft. Recovery, Mary Rindler of Franklin, Massachusetts, William & Peggy Badgett of North Augusta, South Carolina and Louie Badgett Jr. of Celina; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and a sister Margaret Ann Wheeler of Jeffersonville, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by an infant son Joseph and siblings: Melvin Russell, Ernest Russell, Virginia Heustis, Buddy Russell, Joe Russell and Mary Ola Vessells.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina and church prayer groups. Anna retired from Goodyear in St. Marys and enjoyed sharing activities with her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina, Ohio. Burial will be 1 PM on Monday, December 26, 2016 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery in Raywick, Kentucky.
Friends may call on Friday from 3 to 8 PM and Saturday from 8:30 to 9:15 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to State of the Heart Care or I.C. Church.
