Snow showers associated with an arctic front are moving through this morning, providing a quick accumulation of snowfall. With wind gusts between 30 and 40 mph, the snow showers combined with blowing snow are reducing visibility and creating challenging travel conditions. These conditions are most impactful on roads that are more rural and are aligned from north to south. Even after the snow ends, elevated winds will continue to blow snow into the early afternoon. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.
CELINA - The man suspected of robbing the Best Western hotel was arrested Monday morning.
The Celina Police Department announced at noon that Clay A. Junod was in custody and has been charged with aggravated robbery. Celina Mayor Jeff Hazel said at Monday's city council meeting that Junod had been picked up in Lima. [More]

CELINA - City council members on Monday night officially established the long-discussed Bryson Park District along Lake Shore Drive to encompass Mercelina, Pullman Bay and Lakeshore parks.
ST. MARYS - City Council members on Monday approved the purchase of more than five acres of property, including the former Kmart building on Celina Road.
MARIA STEIN - Marion Local Schools Board of Education members accepted a bid from Cotterman & Co. to repair the elementary school roof for $88,475 and approved the purchase of 164 Chromebooks for $40,180 at their Monday meeting.
Monday's softball game between Fort Recovery and St. Marys was halted with no outs in the top of the fifth inning. The Roughriders were at bat and leading 3-2 when a bolt of lightning was seen northwest of the Fort Recovery Elementary School.
