Esther R. Goettemoeller, age 81, of St. Henry, died Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.

She was born April 22, 1936 in Carthagena, to Herman J. & Marie (Homan) Kremer. On May 3, 1958 she married Ivo J. Goettemoeller and he survives.

She is also survived by children, Cindy & Dave Geise of Coldwater, Cary & Jackie Goettemoeller, Chris & Marge Goettemoeller, Ken & Linda Goettemoeller and Pat & Deb Goettemoeller all of St. Henry, and Janet & Fred Schoen of Coldwater; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren with 4 on the way; siblings Mary Ann & Tom Poeppelman, Stella & Paul Heitkamp, Dolores & Dave Fortman, Rosie & Alan Diller, Marlene & Wayne Tekamp, Don & Ginny Kremer; in-laws Mildred Wuebker, Wilma Link, Verena Goettemoeller and George Minnich.

She is preceded in death by a son-in-law Doug Goubeaux; siblings and in-laws Norb & Edna Kremer, Fr. Len Goettemoeller C.PP.S., Harold & Dolores Goettemoeller, Alvin Goettemoeller, Marie Minnich, Ray Wuebker and Lawrence Link.

She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry, the rosary altar sodality and the funeral choir. She graduated from St. Henry High School, was the wife of a farmer and worked at St. Henry Bank, Pantry Pride and Big Bear grocery stores.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 PM to 8 PM on Tuesday and from 9 to 10 AM Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
