An estimated 1,200 runners participated in the Grand Lake Marathon on Saturday, according to race director Ryan King. Marathoners this year ran counter-clockwise around the lake to get the hardest stretch of the course along Guadalupe Road out of the way sooner. Also new this year was one common finish area that included several vendors and live music.
