Augsburger says he'll keep personal approach

ROCKFORD - Parkway's hopes to sweep the boys' and girls' championships at the Chatt Insurance Holiday Tournament were thwarted in different ways.
The Panther girls went toe-to-toe with Ridgemont, but missed free throws down the stretch and a layup by Meadow Cromer with just under two seconds remaining in the second overtime gave the Golden Gophers a 61-59 win to snap the Panthers' five-game win streak. [More]

Heinrichs is state's best
CELINA - Following in the footsteps of her boss, Mercer County Engineer's Office Administrative Assistant Karen Heinrichs has taken home top honors from The County Engineers Association of Ohio.
COLDWATER - Village council members on Thursday passed under suspension of rules an emergency ordinance setting 2018 appropriations at $5.44 million, a decrease from the $7.26 million in 2017.
ST. MARYS - City council members on Friday gave the second of three readings to an ordinance setting 2018's appropriations.
The final reading is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 8 in the municipal building. Spending for 2018 is planned to be $42.7 million, the least appropriated in four years.
