Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Funds to improve area near new $26M feed mill, processing plant

CELINA - Officials on Tuesday learned Mercer County has been awarded a $335,000 grant to make highway improvements in conjunction with Mercer Landmark's proposed $26 million expansion outside of St. Henry.
The county has now secured more than $600,000 in state grant funds to help accommodate Mercer Landmark's purchase of an 18-acre site at the intersection of Carthagena Road and State Route 118 and planned construction of a new feed mill and processing plant. [More]

A shot by the Cavaliers' Myles Blasingame effectively ended any thought of that.
Blasingame hit a trio of 3-pointers, including a key one with just under 2 minutes to play, Jacob Wenning and Derek Albers scored 15 apiece, and the Cavaliers defeated the Panthers 58-46 in a Tuesday night makeup game. [More]

CELINA - County officials hope to snag a $500,000 grant this year that would allow them to proceed with a new sewer system in the Grand Lake watershed.

Controlling erosion goal of project
CELINA - Work will resume this summer to control erosion along Beaver Creek, which starts at the spillway and snakes through 10.6 miles of Mercer County.
ROCKFORD - Council members and village administrator Jeff Long on Tuesday discussed goals for this year.
Long said one of the biggest projects for the year will be rehabilitating the water treatment plant.
