Dan Miesse
Dan Albert Miesse, age 90, of Celina, Ohio, passed away at 7:38 pm, Monday, February 5, 2018 at Celina Manor, with his family by his side.
He was born March 14, 1927 in Celina to the late Miletus and Lelah (Wurster) Miesse. On March 18, 1948 he married Rose Ann (Thomas) Miesse, they were together for 69 wonderful years, and she survives at the residence in Celina.
Other survivors include two sons, Gary (Jan) Miesse, Celina, and Dr. Craig (Pam) Miesse, Celina; a brother, Frank (Irene) Miesse, Celina; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Miesse, Celina; four grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, Miletus Miesse Jr.
Dan was a 1945 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the WWII era. He worked his entire life self-employed as a farmer.
He was a charter member of Celina Baptist Temple in Celina, a life member of the N.R.A. Golden Eagles; and a member of Celina American Legion Post #210.
Dan enjoyed working on the farm, being active in his church, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all.
Visitation hours will be from 3:00 pm-7:00 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. To conclude the services, military honors will be provided by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and Celina VFW Post #5713.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 am on Friday, in Celina Baptist Temple, 7505 Celina-Mendon Rd., Celina, Ohio, with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating; where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina, with military honors by Celina VFW Post #5713 and Celina American Legion Post #210.
His wish was for memorial contributions to be made to Celina Baptist Temple/Missionary Fund.
