Vicki Hale
Vicki L. Hale, 69, St. Marys, OH died 6:30 a.m. Wednesday April 18, 2018 at her residence.
She was born June 19, 1948 in Dayton, OH to Doug and June (Heffner) Jackson. On June 14, 1970 at St. Gerard's Catholic Church in Lima, OH she married Gary W. Hale, who survives.
Also survived by: son Daniel (Andrea) Hale of Wapakoneta, OH; daughter Traci (Travis) Ellis of St. Marys, OH; son Doug (Mary Elizabeth) Hale of Leesburg, VA; 5 grandchildren: Garret Hale, Logan Hale, Emily Ellis, Nicholas Ellis, Jordan Hale; sister Dawn (Louis) Laquaglia of Rockport, ME.
Preceded in death by: parents Doug and June Jackson.
She was a 1966 graduate of Fairview High School and attended Miami-Jacobs Business College, both in Dayton, OH. Mrs. Hale retired from the Holy Rosary Catholic School in St. Marys, where she served as secretary for 25 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its funeral luncheon committee.
Faith and family were the cornerstones of Vicki's life. She enjoyed traveling with her husband on their many trips. She treasured the quality time she was able to spend with her grandchildren and devoted countless hours to shuttling them to their various activities in "Grandma's Taxi." An avid reader, she often shared her favorite books with others.
Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin 11:00 a.m. Monday April 23, 2018 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church 511 E. Spring Street in St. Marys, with the Rev. Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel) in St. Marys.
