The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Anita Bensman
Anita J. Bensman, 85, of Saint Marys, died 4:04 P.M. Monday, April 30, 2018, at Otterbein Saint Marys Retirement Community.
She was born June 26, 1932, in Saint Marys, the daughter of Charles and Louetta (Frey) Millisor. She married Walter Bensman on September 12, 1953; he preceded her in death on September 2, 2010.
She is survived by her children: Gary Bensman of Rossville, Georgia; Thomas (Sarni) Bensman of Dayton; Carol (Eric) Foell of Wilmington, Ohio. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lyndsey (Jeff) Barr; Jennifer (Michael) Munsi; Kelsey (Jeff) Jenkins; Bennett Bensman; Bayley (Nick) Stauffer; by 6 great-grandchildren: Mason Barr; Logan Barr; Ellie Jenkins; Cooper Jenkins; Lucy Jenkins; Chance Stauffer. She is survived a brother, Paul (Carol) Millisor of Wapakoneta.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Robert Millisor.
Anita was a 1950 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School and the Lima Memorial School of Nursing.
She worked for many years as a Registered Nurse at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in Saint Marys; as an industrial nurse at Goodyear Saint Marys; served as Director of Nursing at the Valley Nursing Home; and retired as industrial nurse at Crown Equipment Corporation in New Bremen. She later served as a private duty nurse for numerous families in Auglaize County.
She was a member of the Saint Marys Progress Club, and a member of Faith Alliance Church in New Bremen. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Funeral rites will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 4, 2018, at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 West High Street, Saint Marys, Pastor Trent Fledderjohann, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, Saint Marys.
Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to either Grand Lake Hospice or Faith Alliance Church Missions Fund.
