* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Snow melt and refreezing overnight has resulted in the development of black ice on roads.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Thomas Mertz
Thomas J. Mertz, Sr. age 84 of Minster passed away at 9 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Heritage Center, Minster.
He was born September 28, 1934 in St. Patrick, Ohio to the late John F. & Catherine (Behr) Mertz. He married Norma J. Long on June 24, 1961 at St. Augustine Church, Minster. She survives in Minster.
He is also survived by children: Jennie & Mark Fogt, North Lewisburg, Ohio, Thomas Jr. & Christine Mertz, Minster, Timothy & Dorothy Mertz, Las Vegas, NV, Gary & Leann Mertz, St. Marys, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Sister Adeline Mertz C.PP.S., Dayton, Charles Mertz, Minster, Bernard & Rosetta Mertz, Botkins, Patrick & Kim Mertz, Tacoma, WA, in laws: Alvera Mertz, Coldwater, Barbara & Greg Dardio, St. Marys, Geri & Steve Johnson, Van Wert, Paul & Leona Murphy, Jeannette, PA, Charmaine & Brian Brewer, Phoenix, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert Mertz, infant brother John, sister-in-law Alma Mertz, brothers-in-law: Richard & Cheryl Long, Anthony Long, Paul Long.
Tom attended Fort Loramie High School, served in the US Army from 1957 to 1960 and was stationed at Ft. Kolbe Air Base in Panama. He was also a member of the Minster Eagles #1391, The Egypt Community Club and of the 25 year club at Midmark. Tom enjoyed working on cars.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday July 16 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Egypt with Rev. Frankline Rayappa and Rev. Louis Schmit con-celebrants. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. Monday July 15 and from 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
