* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Snow melt and refreezing overnight has resulted in the development of black ice on roads.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Elizabeth Mertz
Elizabeth A. "Bets" Mertz, age 61 of St. Henry, died on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at State of the Heart Care, Care Clinic, Greenville, Ohio.
She was born on December 31, 1957 in Celina, Ohio to the late David & Joann (Rosenbeck) Voskuhl. On September 3, 1983, she married John Mertz, he survives in St. Henry.
She is survived by a son Kyle Mertz, a granddaughter Alexa Mertz, siblings: Joe & Rhonda Voskuhl, Marilyn & Jim Bomholt, Mike Voskuhl, mother-in-law Alvera Mertz, and in-laws: Lester Tobe, Cathy Holthaus, Karen Rosengarten, Don & Donna Mertz, Irene Rismiller, Rose & Bill Payne, Marie & Jim Gengler, Paul & Carrol Mertz, Dot & Chris Dues, Bert & Jim Hamberg, Barb & Jerry Fullenkamp, Joe & Deb Mertz, Nancy & Dan Rindler, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bets is preceded in death by a sister Therese Tobe, her father-in-law Bob Mertz, and in-laws: Pam Voskuhl, John Holthaus, Gerald Rismiller, and a nephew William Mertz.
She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, and worked over 40 years at Reynolds and Reynolds. Bets enjoyed collecting Precious Moments, spending time with her husband, son, and the light of her life, her granddaughter Alexa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2019 at St. Henry Catholic Church.
Friends may call from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm Sunday, July 14, and 9:00 am until 10:00 am Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
