Frederick Zeik
Frederick D. Zeik, 88, of Rockford passed away at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
Fred was born January 28, 1931 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Stanley and Helen (Tempka) Zeik. On May 25, 1985, he married the former Josephine Nelson, who survives in Rockford. Together they shared over 34 years of marriage.
Fred was a retired engineer from Micro-Precision in Berne, Indiana. He was an avid card player, enjoyed golfing with Jo, and attending family get togethers.
Fred was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Zeik; and a sister who died in infancy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2020 at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Rockford. Burial in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford will immediately follow.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Preferred memorials may be directed to St. Teresa Catholic Church for Masses.
