Randy J. McDorman, age 63, of Mendon, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at his residence.

He was born August 8, 1956, in Van Wert County. His parents, Roy L. & Barbara A. (Austin) McDorman, survive in Mendon. On October 27, 1979, Randy married Laurie Wessel.

She survives with their children: Shawn (Lisa) McDorman of Columbus, Christopher (Kristin) McDorman of Ohio City, and Jessica (George) Miller of Mendon, five grandchildren: Cole & Paige McDorman of Columbus, and Sierra, Gabriel & Abigail McDorman of Ohio City, brothers: Craig McDorman of Mendon, and James (Robin Kaylor) McDorman of Seymour, Indiana, sister-in-law, Thressa Adams, and brothers-in-law: Bryan and Bruce Wessel.

Preceding him in death was a grandson, Austin Lewis McDorman, and parents-in-law, Geary & Betty Wessel.

A 1975 graduate of Mendon-Union High School, Randy was employed at Huffy Bicycles from 1978 to 1998. He operated McDorman Construction for 20 years, and later worked at Teem Wholesale in Ohio City.

Randy enjoyed fishing, playing golf, reading, and watching old cowboy movies. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 27, at W.H.Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Mendon, with Pastor Rob Glenn, officiating. Burial is at Tomlinson Cemetery, near Mendon.

Calling Hours are 12:00 Noon-6:00 p.m., Sunday, January 26, and 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Mendon.
