An Arctic front will sweep east across the region between 5 AM and 9 AM. A few hours of snow showers and west wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph will occur with the frontal passage. While any accumulations will generally be a half inch or less, some challenging travel conditions may develop given, rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities, strong wind and cold temperatures. These conditions will impact the morning commute. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Marilyn Smith
Marilyn K. Smith, 71, of St. Marys Twp., died 3:46 a.m. Sunday February 14, 2021 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH.
She was born July 26, 1949 in Jay Co., IN to Leonard and Catherine (Bowsher) Bonifas. On April 20, 1968 in Portland, IN she married Roger A. Smith, who survives.
Other survivors include: son Brett Smith of St. Marys, OH; son Chad Smith of St. Marys, OH; son Blaine Smith of St. Marys, OH; daughter Shannon (Christopher) Saeler of St. Marys, OH; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister Tana (Bob) Garringer of North Salem, IN; brother Greg (Nona) Bonifas of Dunkirk, IN; brother Dan (Lisa Belda) Bonifas of Portland, IN.
Preceded in death by: parents Leonard and Catherine Bonifas; brother David Bonifas.
She was a graduate of the former Madison High School in Jay Co., IN. For many years, she worked at Pantry Pride and Big Bear Grocery Stores in St. Marys.
Marilyn will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Private family services will be held.
