Rosemary Heitkamp
Rosemary Heitkamp age 93 of McCartyville, Ohio died peacefully at 4:30AM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Otterbein St. Marys.
She was born on May 31, 1928 in Fort Loramie, Ohio to the late Frederick & Cecelia (Dirksen) Hilgefort. She married Norbert E. Heitkamp on April 4, 1951 in St. Michael Church, Fort Loramie. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2001.
She is survived by children: Patricia Westover, Centerville, Michael Heitkamp, Anna, Mary Lou & Robert Schmitmeyer, Cranberry Prairie, Mark & Pamela Heitkamp, Anna, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, sister Louise Homan, St. Rose, in-law Phyllis Hilgefort, Fort Loramie, David Hackemoeller, Minster, Dennis & Rita Heitkamp, New Bremen.
She was preceded in death by siblings: Hilda Hilgefort, Herbert Hilgefort, Norma & Hugo Post, Verona & Bernard Boecker, Mary Ann & Jerry Heitkamp, Robert & Rita Hilgefort, Caroline "Kelly" & Wilbur Bruns and Louis Hilgefort, in-laws: Irene & Marinus Ruschau, Alvira & Herbert Schoenlein, Velma & Clarence Bruns, Lloyd & Mary Heitkamp, Junita & Carl Steinbrunner, Roman Heitkamp, Esther Heitkamp, Alberta Hackemoeller and David & Thecla Heitkamp.
Rosemary was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville and the ladies sodality. She was a lifelong farmer's wife and enjoyed ball room dancing, playing cards and working on the farm. She was guided by her faith and loved spending time with her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1 PM to 5 PM on Sunday, October 24, 2021 and at Sacred Heart Church from 9 to 10 AM on Monday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Sacred Heart Church in Rosemary's name.
