Jacquelyn Broerman
Jacquelyn A. Broerman, age 39, of New Bremen, died suddenly on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 6:26 A.M. in the emergency room of Joint Twp. Dist. Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born on April 13, 1982 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of James A. Wagner of Sidney, and June M. (Hertenstein) Oaks of New Bremen. On July 11, 2020, she married Robert A. "Bob" Broerman who survives in New Bremen. Also surviving are her children: Trey Lefeld, Whitney Lefeld, Kelcey Lefeld, and Clara Broerman at home; her siblings: Joshua (Suzie Nichols) Wagner of Pennsylvania, Jenna (Nick) Testa of Minster, and Jacob (Heather Strauser) Wagner of New Bremen. She is also remembered by her mother in-law Patricia Broerman of New Bremen, and her brother and sister in-laws: Deb (Kent) Stiger of Pennsylvania, and Jeff (Denise) Broerman of Indian Lake, Sue (John) Borchers of Troy, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was a step-father Levi Oaks, and a father in-law Al Broerman.
Jacqui was a 2000 graduate of New Bremen High School and went on to further her education at the University of Toledo where she studied Early Childhood Education. After moving back to New Bremen, she worked as a teacher at preschools in New Bremen and Coldwater.
In order to be with her children, she made the decision to babysit in her home for them and area children for the next 10 years. She also held part-time jobs at Fireside Pub and area gas stations as a way to socialize with adults after so much time spent with children.
Jacqui's love of cooking lead her to 17 West restaurant, where she cooked, catered, and hosted special events. In the last few years she worked alongside of her husband at the family business, Al Broerman Trucking of New Bremen.
Jacqui's favorite thing was being a mom. She loved her family, and she filled her life with being a mom. Outside of the house, she enjoyed bowling (for the social aspect) and was an assistant Girl Scout troop leader. Many special memories were created during RV trips with family and friends. She also enjoyed the many summer vacations to her "happy place," Ocean Isle Beach in North Carolina.
