The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for... Northwestern Auglaize County in west central Ohio... Mercer County in west central Ohio...
* Until 900 AM EDT.
* At 606 AM EDT, radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Celina, St. Marys, Coldwater, New Bremen, Rockford, Wabash, Mendon, Chickasaw, Montezuma, Tama, Neptune, Carthagena, Bulkhead, State Route 116 at State Route 197, Chattanooga and Kossuth.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
* WHERE...Portions of central and west central Ohio, including the following counties, in central Ohio, Delaware, Franklin, Licking, Madison and Union. In west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 2 PM EDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms will move across parts of the area this morning, possibly extending into early afternoon. This may result in bands of heavier rainfall that could lead to flash flooding.

David Young
David "Dave" M. Young, age 71, passed away at his home in Celina during the morning hours of July 16, 2022.
He was born on October 27, 1950, in Celina to the late John & Wanda (Dock) Young. On September 16, 1972, Dave married Pamela (Maurer) Young, and she survives at their residence in Celina.
He is also survived by his two sons, Bryan (Deb Morales) Young of San Francisco, California and Johnathan (Katy Pudenz) Young of Miamisburg, Ohio; sister, Karen (Ron) Heindel of Celina; in-laws, Robert (Rozann) Maurer of Mendon and Dale Snider of Mendon, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Wanda Young and his in-laws, Margaret "Peg" Snider and Jack Maurer.
Dave was a 1969 graduate of Celina High School and then graduated with his associates degree from ITT in Dayton. He worked for 34 plus years at Minster Machine in Minster as a Machinist before his retirement. Dave enjoyed playing his guitar, playing in local bands and fishing.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held following the gathering at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Matt Overman officiating.
Memorial contributions can be made in Dave's name to the charity of the donor's choice.
