Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Marie Wendel
Marie C. Wendel age 82 of Chickasaw, Ohio, died on July 17, 2022 at Coldwater Hospital.
She was born on September 29, 1939 in St. Rose, Ohio to the late Lawrence & Philomena Schlarman. Marie married William Wendel at the St. Rose Catholic Church in St. Rose, Ohio on September 29, 1962. He survives in Chickasaw, Ohio.
She is survived by in-laws: Sara Schlarman, Celina, Delores Schlarman, St. Rose, Rita Wynk, Carthegina, Cletus & Rosann Prenger, Minster, Marilyn Wendel, Ft. Recovery, Kate Wendel, Wendelin, Karen Wendel, Wendelin, Dan Bruns, Chickasaw, Janet Kuck, Chickasaw, David & Eileen Wendel, Ft. Recovery, Marjorie & Nick Meir, St. Rose, & Ernie & Marilyn Wendel, Wendelin. There are numerous of nieces & nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence & Philomena, her two brothers Elmer & Andrew Schlarman. Her parents-in-laws Rochus & Mildred Wendel & in-laws Robert, Ronald & Donald Wendel, Mary Angus Bruns, Bob Wynk & Dave Kunk.
Marie went to school at the brick schoolhouse at St. Rose the first eight years. She attended High School at St. John High School which was across the road from the St. John Catholic Church. She enjoyed some traveling. Marie was a member of Ladies Sodality of Precious Blood, of the Relic Chapel Guild and of the adoration prayer at St. Sebastion. She enjoyed taking care of bingo games when they were held at Precious blood Catholic Church.
Mass Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M Thursday July 21, 2022 at Precious Blood Catholic Church, Chickasaw.
Friends may call at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 PM on Wednesday July 20, 2022 and from 9:00 A.M. To 10:00 A.M on Thursday July 21. Burial will take place in Precious Blood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family wants donations to be made to the Shrine of the Holy Relics.
