Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

John Morrison
John Wesley Morrison, 60, of Van Wert, Ohio passed away Monday morning, July 18, 2022, at his residence.
He was born on April 2, 1962, in Decatur, Indiana to the late Eugene J. Morrison and Sharlene A. (Lehman) Morrison.
He worked as a general contractor and was the owner of Fort Wayne Wall. John was an avid golfer and a member of Willow Bend Country Club of Van Wert. John also loved cooking and country music. He loved to entertain. He was a jovial person with a kind heart. Above all he was a wonderful father and grandfather and loved his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Allison (Brody) Wight of Henderson, Nevada; Fiancé, Michelle Jackson of Van Wert, Ohio; sister, Melissa Carnwath of Cold Spring, Kentucky; brother, Greg (Trudy) Morrison of Coldwater, Michigan; sister, Nancy (Kevin) Randall of Georgetown, South Carolina; brother, Donald Frederick (Kathy) Morrison of Chagrin Fall, Ohio; sister, Kathryn (Tim Franklin) Morrison of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; mother of his daughter, Patricia Sefton of Fort Wayne, Indiana; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard & Patricia Sefton of Fort Wayne, Indiana; faithful companion, Teddy his Westie; one grandson, Ellis Wight; and several nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Susan Sharlene Fouss; brother-in-law, Matthew Carnwath; and two nephews, Grant Morrison and Michael Biddinger.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Noon at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial will follow at Willshire Cemetery in Willshire, Ohio.
Preferred memorials are to Van Wert County Humane Society.
