Mary R. Bruns age 87 of St. Henry, Ohio formerly of Maria Stein, Ohio, died at 6:44 PM on August 20, 2022 at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born on February 1, 1935 in Egypt, Ohio to the late Fred & Catherine (Bergman) Grieshop. She married Lawrence F. Bruns on January 31, 1959 and he preceded in death on March 30, 1996.

She is survived by her children: James & Lucy Bruns, Maria Stein, Janet & Douglas Heitkamp, Trinity, IN, Roger & Jennifer Bruns, Greenville, Joan & Stephen Wolters, Coldwater, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Edward Grieshop, Anna, Bernadine Grieshop, Tipp City, Joan & Richard Rodgers, Mason, Angela & William Platfoot, Tipp City, in-laws: Alice Grieshop, Maria Stein, Jan Schmiesing, Sidney, Irene & Arthur Lochtefeld, Coldwater, Marie Moorman, Coldwater.

She was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, sisters & brothers: Rita & Roman Schoenlein, John Grieshop, Carol Schmiesing, Josie Grieshop, Paul & Barbara Grieshop & Frederick Grieshop, in-laws Sylvina & Linus Poeppelman, Alma & Ralph Grilliot, Emerita & Edward Boerger, Wilbert & Carolyn Bruns, Thomas Moorman, Joann & Greg Luebke.

She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood and the Ladies Sodality. Mary was also a member of the Osgood American Legion Auxiliary.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood. Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery, Osgood.

Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday, August 24, and from 9 to 10 AM on Thursday.
