At 1212 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near New Bremen, moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Hail may cause minor damage to vegetation.
Locations impacted include... Newport, Fryburg, Montra, Egypt, Uniopolis, New Bremen, Buckland, Botkins, New Knoxville, Fort Loramie, Kettlersville, Moulton, Jackson Center, St. Marys, Anna, Kossuth, Lakeview, Lake Loramie State Park, Waynesfield, and Wapakoneta.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 96 and 118.

Curtis Schroer
Curtis August Schroer, age 95, of New Bremen, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2022 at the Vancrest of St. Marys.
He was born on July 1, 1927 in rural Auglaize County the only child of Harry R. and Pauline M. (Heidt) Schroer. Curtis lost his mother to illness at age four, and was raised on the farm of his aunt Alvina (Heidt) and Arnold Warner. On September 25, 1955 Curtis married Betty Lorraine Horn of New Bremen, and they celebrated 55 years of joyous marriage until Betty's death in 2011.
They are survived by two children, Dwight Schroer of New Bremen and Kathleen (Eugene) Aufderhaar of Bluffton, Ohio.
Curtis served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army from 1950 to 1952 as a radio operator, stationed in Germany. He had attended New Bremen High School, and following his service he completed his GED. He entered the workforce as a welder after completing training at the Hobart Welding School, and retired from the Minster Machine Company on July 1, 1989. Curtis was an active member of St. Peter's Church in New Bremen where he served as an officer numerous times. He and Betty were avid campers and traveled much of the USA.
Inurnment will take place in the German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen, with a small graveside memorial service, including military honors, which will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 1:00 P.M.
