Light snow is expected to develop across the area after midnight, shifting to the southeast through the predawn hours. This band of light snow will affect the region by the Thursday morning commute, eventually pushing south of the area by mid- morning.
Minor snow accumulations of less than an inch are expected, but cold ground conditions will allow for quick accumulation on any untreated surfaces. The main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on untreated surfaces.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Thursday morning commute.

Marlene Harrod
Marlene Patricia Harrod, 90, of Greenville Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at the Oakley Place in Greenville.
She was born on July 8, 1933, in Englewood, Ohio, to the late Frank and Mildred (Wetzel) Taylor.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Harold D. Harrod, whom she married on December 6, 1952 and who passed away on December 5, 2016.
Marlene is survived by her children, Galen (Ann) Harrod of Rossburg, Bonnie (Dave) Snider of Greenville, Sally (Vernon) Brigner of Ansonia, and Tom (Jayne) Harrod of Rossburg; her grandchildren, Brian (LeighAnna) Harrod, Beth (Ryan) Langenkamp, Kevin (Brittany) Harrod, Sean Snider, Jill (Paul) Struble, Cindy (Mikel) Sinnott, Andy Brigner, Jessica (Kirk) Gower, Nick (Adam) Harrod, Korey (Brittany) Harrod, and Dr. Jennifer (Sean) Gerber; her 23 great grandchildren; her sisters, Delores Williams of Greenville, Brenda McMahan of Pheonix, Arizona, and Ethel (Carl) McEldowney of Ansonia; and her in-law, Luella (Harold) Roeth of Sidney, Ohio.
Marlene was a 1950 graduate of Ansonia High School. She was a lifelong homemaker and a dedicated farm wife. She was former member of the Red Bud Garden Club and the Community United Methodist Church. Marlene loved spending time with her family and enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports. She also enjoyed tending to her flower gardens, cooking, and putting together puzzles.
A celebration of Marlene's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Scott Trittschuh officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Marlene's family on Sunday, from 11:00 AM until the start of the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
