The combination of a moist airmass and calm winds is resulting in patchy dense fog this morning, especially across rural areas and valleys. Rapidly changing visibilities will be possible through the early morning hours before the fog lifts shortly after daybreak.
If you are driving and encounter fog, use your low beam headlights and leave extra space between vehicles.

Health officials urging the latest flu, COVID shots

With fall in full swing, health officials encourage people to get vaccinated against a trio of illnesses.
In addition to the flu shot, updated COVID-19 vaccines are available for just about everyone 6 months and older as well as new respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccines for adults 60 and older and mothers-to-be. There is also a vaccine-like medicine for babies to defend against RSV that should be available later this fall. [More]
Roughriders beat Kenton, maintain second in WBL

ST. MARYS - The St. Marys Roughriders battled past Kenton in the first two sets Tuesday.
The third set wasn't much of a battle.
On Senior Night, the Roughriders opened the third set with a 6-0 run en route to completing a 25-18, 25-13, 25-15 sweep in Western Buckeye League play. St. Marys (11-9, 5-2 WBL) is tied for second place in the conference race, trailing unbeaten Shawnee. [More]

Hangar roof needs work at Armstrong
WAPAKONETA - Auglaize County commissioners have awarded a $289,854 contract to Cotterman & Company Inc. of Minster to replace a hangar roof at Neil Armstrong Airport in New Knoxville.
MINSTER - Village officials will seek nearly $500,000 in state financial assistance to help pay for the reconstruction of a section of Hamilton Street.
