HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP - A 17-year-old Celina male involved in a car accident on Thursday night has died, according to a news release from Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey.
Andrew Taylor succumbed to injuries and was pronounced dead at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, the sheriff's office learned on Sunday. [More]
St. Marys' Elston proud to be part of Michigan's title team

Twenty-six years ago, St. Marys alumnus Mike Elston was a student assistant on the Michigan football team as it went undefeated and was named the national champion by the Associated Press.
Two weeks ago, he was on the sideline at NRG Stadium in Houston for the College Football Playoff championship game, helping coach the Wolverines' defense as it shut down Washington for a 34-13 victory and a return to the top of college football. [More]

CELINA - Mayor Jeff Hazel at Monday night's city council meeting announced the managing partner of a firm hired to train city officials has agreed to provide the services at no cost, waiving the $52,000 previously agreed to by councilors.
ST. MARYS - City councilors on Monday evening authorized city officials to apply for $1.3 million in grant funding to proceed with Phase 4 of the Spring Street reconstruction project.
