Natomi Mohler
Natomi Mohler, 90, of Fort Recovery, Ohio was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on January 29, 2024.
The daughter of William and Elizabeth Blick, Natomi, the youngest of 16 children, was born on April 11, 1933 in St. Benedict, Pennsylvania. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Richard Mohler, whom she married on January 24, 1952.
In addition to her husband, Natomi is survived by her children, Debra Mohler of Fort Recovery, Cheryl (Bob) McClain of Fort Recovery, Rick (Patty) Mohler of Cincinnati, and Tammy (Mike) Shellabarger of Port Charlotte, Florida; her 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Natomi called Fort Recovery home beginning in 1954 and dedicated much of her life to serving her First Church of Christ family by playing the piano, directing the teen choir, and teaching youth and vacation Bible school. She loved helping deliver babies and working in the nursery for many years as a Nurse Aide at Jay County Hospital and providing home health care to residents in the area. She enjoyed traveling, camping, working puzzles, and decorating her home to celebrate the seasons. Her favorite moments were the ones she spent with her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at First Church of Christ, 1049 Union City Road, Fort Recovery, Ohio. A private burial service will be held later at the convenience of the family.
The family will receive guests from 10:30 a.m. until the start of the service at 11:30 a.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the First Church of Christ Mission Fund.
