Rita Klosterman
In loving memory of Rita Marie (Pax) Klosterman, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who passed away on May 9, 2024 at the age of 86.
Born in Celina, Ohio, on October 13, 1937, to parents Edmund Pax and Francis (Meyer) Pax, she embraced family life after marrying her loving husband Norman "Whitey" Klosterman on April 23, 1960.
Rita's legacy lives on through Norman and her four children: Lisa (Jerry) Horstman, Jeff (Pam) Klosterman, Chris (Amy) Klosterman, and Steve (Alaina) Klosterman; 11 grandchildren: Jenni (Jasen) Kunz, Sam (Karla) Young, Jared (Beth) Horstman, Rachel (Andrew) Etgen, Sophia, Alexis, Hunter, Jakson, Lauren, Alex, and Lena Klosterman; 7 great-grandchildren: Ava and Carter Kunz, Addison, Maggie, and Josie Young, Olivia Etgen, and Gracie Horstman.
Known for her loyalty and dedication, Rita worked at Huffy Corp, Mersman Table Factory, and the Orchard Tree, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina. She enjoyed convertible rides, listening to 50s music, and dancing with Norman.
She leaves behind a cherished bond with her 14 brothers and sisters, three of whom are still with us: Mary Catherine, Leonard, Charles, Ruth, Norma, Madonna, Richard, Bernadette (surviving), Florentine, Vincent, LaVern, Barbie (surviving), Juanita, and Edwina (surviving).
Services are private, and a future funeral mass will be held to honor Rita's life. Rita's commitment to education and science is reflected in her decision to will her body to the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University.
In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family requests donations be made to Immaculate Conception Grade School in her memory. For donation information please go to https://catholicbestchoice.org/SGO/ and designate "Immaculate Conception School, Celina" as the recipient.
Rita's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched with her love and kindness.
