* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Snow melt and refreezing overnight has resulted in the development of black ice on roads.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Shirley Litmer
Shirley E. Litmer, age 76, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
She was born on March 23, 1948, in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Daniel and Lovina (Bruner) Shaner.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald P. Litmer, whom she married on July 22, 1967; her children, Sandra Litmer and Kevin Droesch of Chickasaw, Tina Litmer and Duane Crabtree of Fort Recovery, and Joshua and Allie Litmer of Celina; her son-in-law, Marvin "Keith" Lewis of Fort Recovery; her granddaughters, Shaylynne Litmer and Calleigh Crabtree, both of Fort Recovery; her sister, Diana and Bill Hinshaw of Portland; her sister-in-law, Linda Shaner of Rossburg; and her in-laws, Tom and Eileen Litmer of Fort Recovery, Dolores Fortman of Fort Recovery, Kenny and Linda Litmer of Monroe, Indiana, Vern and June Litmer of Miamisburg, and Linda and Bill Stout of St. Henry.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Lewis; her brother, Ronald Shaner; her brother-in-law, Jim Fortman; and her father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Rose Litmer.
Shirley was a 1966 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. She retired from Fort Recovery Industries, but her favorite job was being a homemaker and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Shirley enjoyed scrapbooking and was a member of a nationwide group called Creative Memories. She also enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at a later date.
