* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch. Snow melt and refreezing overnight has resulted in the development of black ice on roads.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Indiana, northeast and northern Kentucky, and central, south central, southwest, and west central Ohio.
* WHEN...Until 11 AM EST this morning.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

Snow showers to continue this morning. Slick spots on area roads will be possible this morning with temperatures below freezing. Motorists can expect rapid changes in visibility when encountering some of the heavier snow showers. Northwest winds gusting up to 30 mph will add to the travel impacts due to blowing and drifting snow.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Timothy Heitkamp
Timothy Joseph Heitkamp, age 46, long-time resident of Fort Recovery, Ohio, more recently of Coldwater, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Mercer Health in Coldwater.
He was born on December 1, 1978, in Coldwater, to Tom and Kathy (Knapke) Heitkamp.
In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his siblings, Jeff (Kate) Heitkamp of Dublin, Ohio, Jen (Mike) Simper of Coldwater, Bob (Laura) Heitkamp of Fort Recovery, Sara (Matt) Dick of Galion, Ohio, Greg (Meredith) Heitkamp of Westerville, Ohio, Dan (Kris) Heitkamp of Noblesville, Indiana, and Curt (Kelsey) Heitkamp of Lithopolis, Ohio; 22 nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Norma Knapke of Cranberry Prairie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tim was preceded in death by his nephew, Alex Simper; his grandparents, Mark Knapke and Melvin and Helen Heitkamp; and his cousins, Melinda, Jason, Anthony, and Austin.
Tim was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School. He was a member of the Cheryl Ann programs and ARC. Tim worked for Reynolds and Reynolds Co. in Celina and at Chiefs Supermarket in Coldwater. Tim loved sports and followed his favorite teams which included the Fort Recovery Indians, Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Bengals, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Tim loved his family and was the proud Godfather of Trevor Heitkamp.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, January 10, 2025, at St. Peter Catholic Church with Father Ethan Moore celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests may visit with Tim's family on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Venture Lynx, formerly known as Cheryl Ann Programs.
