Marvin Kramer
Marvin W. "G" Kramer, age 82, of Cassella, Ohio, He was born on January 14, 1943, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Lawrence and Laurena (Bergman) Kramer. Passed away peacefully at his home on May 24, 2025.
Marv is lovingly remembered by his children: Lisa (Bob) Heidenburg of Shawnee, Kansas; Melissa (Mark) Hephner of Olathe, Kansas; Kandy (Matt) Fritch of Gonzales, Texas; and Kevin (Sarah) Kramer of Broomfield Colorado.
He is also survived by his beloved partner, Diane Waanders; his siblings and in-laws, Vern (Julie) Kramer, Doris (Bill) Goettemoeller, Lloyd (Sylvia) Kramer, Rene (Luke) Klosterman, Jan (Chuck) Feltz, Joe and Diane Seger and Pat Kramer; his grandchildren, Lauren (Julian) Reyes, Devyn (Gabriella) Fritch, Madison Heidenburg, Daylene Fritch, Christian Tucker, Nora Kramer and Anna Kramer; and his great-grandchildren, Peyton and Kinsley. Marv also has many loving nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Vernon Kramer, Virgil Kramer, Eugene Kramer and brother-in-law Bill Goettemoeller.
Marv was a proud 1961 graduate of Marion High School, Marv was known for his contagious laughter, playful spirit, and love of life. His passion for large trucks and construction fueled a long and successful career with Heil Trucking before he ventured into entrepreneurship, founding Kwikstone Kramer and operating his cherished "Slinger" trucks. Even in retirement, his adventurous heart kept him on the road as a Truck Transport driver - a job he thoroughly enjoyed as it allowed him to see the country he loved.
Beyond his career, Marv's greatest joy was his family. He had an unwavering devotion to his children, grandchildren and siblings and treasured every opportunity to spend time with them - often sharing laughter and unforgettable stories. His generous spirit extended beyond his family to his community. At Park Place Condominiums, Marv became a beloved and indispensable neighbor, known as the resident handyman and a true friend to all. His thoughtful contributions - like the lending library in the courtyard - will be remembered for years to come.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Yellow Barn in Olathe, Kansas, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 4:00 P.M. Central Time.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Marv's memory be directed to The University of Kansas Health System Inpatient Blood & Marrow Transplant team. Marv loved all of these team members and his children are eternally grateful for their care and support while he fought Acute Myeloid Leukemia for over two years.
