* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following county, in west central Ohio, Mercer.
* WHEN...Until 300 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1101 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Celina, Coldwater, Wabash, Mendon, Montezuma, Tama and Neptune.

Edward Jeffries
Edward (Ed) Jeffries, age 93 of Celina, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025 at the Celina Manor.
He was born in Pioneer, Ohio August 6, 1931 to the late Ernest Jeffries and Hazel Biner. He was raised by his grandparents Alice and James Jeffries. In 1953 he married Marilyn Monalou Ward who passed away in 1962. In 1963 he married Lula Ireland who survives in Celina.
Edward is survived by his six sons Edward Jr. of Celina, Jay of Vanderbilt Michigan, George of Celina, Joe of St. Marys, Matt of Celina and Luke of St. Marys, 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son (Kim), two sisters Janet Byer and Betty Trisel and a brother James Jeffries.
He was a 1949 graduate of Celina High School. He worked at Mersman Brothers, New Idea, Western & Southern Life Insurance, Wellman Brothers as well as serving on the Celina City Council.
He was a life member of the Grand Lake Beagle Club and a member of the Celina Eagles where he directed the Thursday night Bass League. He was "Muscles the Clown" and entertained children and many aged. He served on the board of the Council on Aging. He spent many hours volunteering at the Council's garage sales. He made trophies for the Grand Lake Beagle Club, kids fishing tournaments and other occasions on request. He was instrumental in Freedom Days and helped with the kids fishing contest. He was an avid Fisherman, enjoyed playing cards and was a NASCAR fan.
Ed selflessly donated his bodily remain, to the Anatomical Gift Program-Boonshoft School of Medicine at the Wright State University in Dayton.
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date at the Celina Eagles Arie #1291.
Ed's services are in the care of the Lehman-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina.
