The Wapakoneta Fire Department showed off its recent renovations last week with an open house during the Summer Moon Festival. The expansion took over a year, and included new offices for the chief and captain; a second apparatus bay; a new weight room and conference room; sleeping quarters for female firefighters; a small museum wall of historical documents and objects; and a rooftop patio with a grill.
