* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Donald Kuhlhorst
Donald Kuhlhorst, 66 originally of St. Marys, OH died May 7, 2026 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster, OH. Born March 8, 1960 in St. Marys, OH to the late Ralph and Dorothy (Warner) Kuhlhorst, St. Marys OH.
Also preceding him was a sister, Elaine Ester Kuhlhorst.
He has a surviving sister Debra (Kuhlhorst) Reier, Huntsville Alabama, and brother Larry Kuhlhorst, Celina Ohio.
Donald was a joy to be around and could bring a smile to anyone he met. Donald's family is appreciative of the support he received from the Auglaize County Board of Developmental Disabilities, Champaign Residential Services and his housemates for over 40 years. Donald looked forward to training and learning job skills at Auglaize Industries. Donald enjoyed being around his friends. He enjoyed taking walks especially around the track and at St. Marys Lake along with going out to eat, swimming, dancing, going to the Auglaize County Fair, Columbus Zoo and watching the Cincinnati Reds. Donald loved trains and anything about trains. He also knew every line to every 80s TV show. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Saint Marys.
Donald looked forward to participating in the Special Olympics, going to Camp Allyn and going on excursions out of state. He enjoyed Halloween and any other party or get together. Donald will be missed by many.
Private graveside burial rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen, Pastor Ed Karges, officiant. Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, is caring for Donald's family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or similar worthy causes.
