The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality. Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories. It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes. 4-H camp gets new shelter house

The Mercer County Commissioners, Tri Star Career Compact officials and other dignitaries joined OSU Extension 4-H Educator Beth Guggenbiller and 180 rambunctious campers at the Harbor Point 4-H Camp on Thursday afternoon for a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new shelter house. In addition to providing much needed respite during the sweltering heat, the shelter house will host arts and craft sessions, classes and other activities. Tri Star students helped with construction while several organizations donated funds or labor toward the project, including Celina Eagles Aerie #1291, Celina Moose Lodge #1473, Farm Credit Mid America, St. Henry Tile Co. Inc., KLS Construction, VTF Excavation, Stachler Concrete and Koesters Spouting LLC.
